Donald Trump's Walk of Fame star is smashed to pieces

Donald Trump's Walk of Fame star is smashed to pieces

Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was smashed to pieces on Wednesday night by a man dressed as a construction worker.

A man wearing a high visibility jacket and a helmet was videoed taking a sledgehammer and a

pick-axe to the Republican US Presidential candidate's walk of fame star, which he received in 2007 for his work on the American version of The Apprentice.

According to Deadline, the man who carried out the act of vandalism said he wanted to auction the star off to raise funds for the women who have accused Trump of sexually assaulting them.
The US presidential candidate has denied all the allegations against him.

This is not the first time that Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been vandalized.

In July, a Los Angeles-based artist known as Plastic Jesus installed a mini-wall around Trump's star, topped with razor wire and miniature US flags, as a protest to his controversial comments about building a wall on the US-Mexico border.

Despite the damage done on Wednesday, the star is unlikely to be removed.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, who manage the sidewalk, told the LA Times: "Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

"Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk."

Los Angeles police confirmed they are investigating the latest vandalism report.
